Short version: we don't know who you are, we don't want to, and you should only post wall photos you took yourself with no people in them.
Privacy
What we collect
- Photos you post, plus any optional transcription, tags, venue type and city note you add.
- Approximate location, only if you tap “Use my approximate location”. It's fuzzed on your device to about a 1-mile circle before it's sent.
- An anonymous device ID: a random ID and an anonymous sign-in so the app can tell your posts, reactions and reports apart. It's saved in your browser's local storage.
- Reactions and report counts on posts.
We don't collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, accounts, or your exact location. We don't use advertising trackers. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that uses no cookies and doesn't track individual visitors, to count visits, pages viewed and referring sites.
How photos are cleaned
Before upload, your photo is re-encoded on your device. That strips hidden EXIF data, including GPS coordinates and camera details.
Who can see posts
Everything you post is public: anyone using StallWall can see the photo, text, tags and fuzzy location area. Don't post anything you wouldn't want the world to see.
Where it's stored
Posts and photos are stored with our backend provider, Supabase. The site is hosted on Netlify, fonts load from Google Fonts, and maps use OpenStreetMap tiles; those services see normal web request info like your IP address.
Moderation and reports
Anyone can report a post. After 3 reports, a post is hidden automatically. Our moderator can review and remove any post at any time.
Removal requests
Want something taken down (your post, or a photo of something that identifies you)? Email hello@stallwall.app with a description or screenshot of the post. Since there are no accounts, that helps us find it.
Automatic safety check
Before a photo goes public, it is checked automatically by an AI service (OpenAI) for things like faces, phone numbers, full names, threats, or explicit content. If something is flagged, a person reviews it before it is posted or removed. Only the photo and its caption are sent. Nothing that identifies you (no account, device, IP address, or location) is sent.

- Don't vandalize. Just document. Never write on a wall to make content.
- You must have taken the photo yourself.
- No faces or identifiable people. Ever.
- No names or phone numbers of real people; blur them out.
- No hate, threats, nudity, or illegal content.
We may remove anything that breaks these rules, or anything else, at our discretion.
Your content
You keep whatever rights you have in your photos. By posting, you give StallWall a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, display and share what you post on StallWall.
Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use StallWall.
No warranty
StallWall is a just-for-fun project provided “as is”, with no warranties. Posts come from anonymous users, not us. We aren't liable for what people post or for any downtime or lost content, to the extent the law allows.
Changes
We may update this page. When we do, we'll change the effective date above. Using StallWall after a change means you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. StallWall is run from Lubbock, Texas.
